About the event

This grief group is designed specifically for death doulas—professionals who intimately experience the depth of loss, often while setting aside their own emotional needs. Led by a licensed clinical mental health counselor, trained death doula, and yoga teacher, this group provides a space for you to process, restore, and reconnect with your own emotional and physical well-being. Meetings will be monthly, the third Monday of each month from 7:00pm EST to 8:30pm EST.

The Work You Do Is Unique - Specialized Support Is Crucial

  • Unprocessed Grief: Supporting others through end-of-life transitions often brings up personal grief that is difficult to process.

  • Emotional Burnout: Constantly being a source of strength can leave you emotionally depleted.

  • The Weight of Witnessing: Bearing witness to profound loss can be both meaningful and heavy, requiring intentional self-care and reflection.

What This Group Offers

This group is a safe, supportive space to explore and process the unique grief and emotional challenges you face as a death doula. We’ll integrate:

  • Mental & Emotional Work: Guided discussions to process grief, reduce emotional burdens, and validate your experiences.

  • Mind-Body Connection: Gentle, yoga-inspired movement and breathwork to regulate your nervous system and release stored tension.

  • Holistic Alignment: Exercises and tools to harmonize your mind, body, and spirit, fostering resilience and inner balance.

  • Community Connection: A shared space to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of your role, creating a supportive network.

Why This Group is Different

As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, trained death doula, and yoga teacher, I bring a holistic perspective to healing. This group goes beyond talk therapy by incorporating mindfulness, movement, and breathwork—tools that help align all systems of your being so you can feel restored and resilient in both your work and personal life.

This group will not only provide you with a space to connect and process your own feelings of loss and grief but also empower you with strategies to care for yourself while continuing your vital work with others. We simply cannot help others heal if we do not do our own work of healing.

With a deep passion for helping individuals heal and thrive, I specialize in counseling for grief and trauma, combining evidence-based mental health practices with the transformative power of yoga. I believe that true healing requires more than just addressing the mind; it involves aligning the mind, body, and spirit to create a holistic path toward peace and resilience.

As a trained death doula, I bring a compassionate understanding of life’s transitions, offering a unique perspective on navigating grief and loss. My work is grounded in creating a safe and supportive space for individuals facing end-of-life challenges, as well as those who provide care and support during these profound moments.

Through individual counseling, workshops, groups, and retreats, I guide clients in doing the mental and emotional work needed to process life’s challenges while integrating mindfulness, intentional movement, and breathwork. By nurturing the body and regulating the nervous system, I help people build the capacity to love fully and live resiliently, even in the face of stress, trauma, and grief.

My approach empowers clients to bring their entire being into harmony, fostering a grounded, balanced state that supports lasting well-being.
