Making Space for Healing: A Grief Writing & Sound Healing Workshop

A gentle, grief-informed afternoon of guided writing, reflection and sound healing

Time & Location

Feb 01, 2026, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Sky Pond, 118 Rocky Rd, Apex, NC 27523, USA

About the event

Grief does not ask us to leave it behind as time moves forward.

It asks us to learn how to carry it with care.

This workshop is an invitation to begin the year intentionally — not by pushing grief away or trying to move past it, but by making space to be with it in ways that feel supportive, grounded and healing.

Making Space for Healing offers a gentle pause to listen inwardly, engage grief with intention and allow the body to settle and integrate. It is about moving with grief rather than against it and about choosing presence over avoidance at your own pace.

About Our Journey

This afternoon will weave together grounding practices, gentle breathing exercises, guided reflection, and grief-informed writing to support both emotional expression and nervous system regulation.

The writing we’ll explore is gently guided and intentionally paced, offering different ways to meet grief — by noticing it, giving it voice, relating to it and allowing what needs permission to emerge. The focus is on care, choice and moving at a pace that feels supportive and safe.

Writing and reflection give grief a place to land, while sound healing helps the body rest and integrate what has been expressed. Together, they offer a gentle, supportive step toward healing — without rushing or fixing what needs time and intention to heal. Today offers both time and intention for your grief healing.

💫 What the Afternoon Includes

Participants will be gently guided through:

  • Grounding and nervous system settling

  • Guided grief-focused writing and reflection

  • A closing sound healing experience with Emily Barnhill of Elody Sound Healing to support rest and integration

  • Light charcuterie and tea
